"so now God is revengeful? What kind of God do you have?"

Sure, and jealous as well. Check out the Bible: Just as with Ragu Spaghetti Sauce, it's in there. Sounds like time to upgrade to a more mature deity to me. Show your deity the power of the free market: Lighten up or few are going to feel like proselytizing for Thee.

NickHammer, that was beautiful. Too bad they aren't going to listen, but are instead continuing on in their complete denial. Sad, really.

I am conservative and hoped to get change !!
when 49% of voters get hand out and obama turned rich against poor .
poor against their employers . this is what we all get
God is still in charge and this country will pay!!

I agree with MP2 that there is "no point in antagonizing", "rubbing salt in the wounds", etc. But there is much more to this topic than just that. MUCH, MUCH MORE.

Yesterday evening, I was discussing with my daughter a Newsweek article Welcome to the Twilight Zone: How the right-wing media invented a new reality. It discusses how right-wingers believed what they wanted to believe, and ignored or castigated anyone who said anything different - how anything printed in the mainstream media (oh, sorry, let me use their term - "lamestream media") has a liberal bias, they're in the tank for Obama, and on and on. And it's the same with any polls showing Obama winning - they have a liberal bias. As I've mentioned numerous times, right-wingers parrot everything they hear from other right-wingers sans validation, while always insisting on proof from anyone who disagrees with them. And this is simply the latest example of that (well, until Limbaugh's Santa Obama comment, that is).

So, what did they do? Well, one guy, Dean Chambers, created his own poll, the inaptly-named "unskewedpolls.com", much in the same vein that Fox News calls themselves "fair and balanced". He claimed that the other polls - the ones that showed Obama leading - were skewed by over-sampling Democrats, so, without rhyme or reason, changed his polls to over-sample Republicans, and called it "unskewed". And guess what? His polls showed Romney winning!

Chambers, to his credit, did admit afterwards that it was HIS poll that was skewed, but - other than blaming it on "the turnout model" - doesn't seem to really understand WHY he was wrong when so many others were right. Yet the answer is simple. He's a typical right-winger who projects his traits on the others he is trying to discredit, substitutes his opinions for facts, and listens only to other right-wingers.

This self-proclaimed unskewed pollster has links to most major right-wing sources, points how how his site is "Featured in The Blaze, the Drudge Report and mentioned on the Rush Limbaugh Show", writes articles titled The bizarre world of Nate Silver's voodoo political predictions and Reality vs. liberal fantasy world in the presidential polling, and parrots standard right-wing phrases in lines such as (emphasis mine):
- "Many on the far left are hanging on to the slightest hope that the planets will be aligned on election day and magic will happen and somehow, although it's entirely unlikely, that THEIR BELOVED MESSIAH, President Barack Obama, will be reelected despite having PROVEN to be the ... OVERALL WORST PRESIDENT IN THE ENTIRE HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES"
- "Liberals have been DRINKING the skewed polls KOOL AID"
- "Basically, in reality, Romney is cleaning up in the swing states and might just every single one of them including Pennsylvania and Ohio. The LIBERAL ALTERNATIVE FANTASY..."
- "But in FANTASY LAND FOR LIBERALS with their beloved skewed media polls, it's all Obama."
- "In LIBERAL FANTASY LAND, Virginia is going for Obama because none other than Nate Silver says so"
- "That's how it's going now when LIBERAL HAVE LITTLE EVIDENCE, on which to base their belief that Obama is going to win."
- "DEAL WITH IT, LIBERALS. Get your prescriptions for your medications renewed before election day."
- "I DON'T READ THE NEW YORK TIMES (IT'S USELESS) and I don't have a bird or need to line a cage with the paper"
- "Anyone doubting that MODERN LIBERALS ARE LUNATICS AND AMERICA HATERS..."
- "This is WISHFUL THINKING OF A LIBERAL"

Wow! These are the exact same phrases seen littered throughout the GasBuddy Politics forum. Not exactly the kind of stuff you'd expect from someone claiming to be "unskewed". Yet the righties hung their hats on guys like this, quotes like this, and their Romney-winning-without-a-shred-of-evidence polls. Because when you're a right-winger, you'll swallow everything this guy says and come back asking for more.

In "Cool Hand Like", Paul Newman gets busted for unskewing some poles that had parking meters on them.

Is this something like that? :o)

Do you still think the polls were skewed?

-----
There were others, who predicted far more favorable outcomes for Obama, that were closer than I was in getting it right. Larry Sabato of the University of Virginia Center for Politics predicted Obama would win with 290 electoral votes. He was only wrong in predicting Romney would win the 42 electoral votes of Florida and Virginia. Nate Silver of the New York Times blog fivethirtyeight.com predicted all 50 states correctly and projected Obama to win the states exactly as he did. I congratulate them both on getting it right and Nate Silver for going 50 for 50 in getting all the states right in the presidential election.
-----

At least he was gracious in defeat.

You Know I guess I should have had a link to unskewedpolls.com

This is what I was referring to. That whole site of "better arithmetic" in polling.

It seems to me, that, most here thought I was taking another jab at the horrible loss Mitt had. No, I was taking a jab at the garbage this site put out on the masses.

<<Good grief, do you ever stop producing useless gloating topics?>>

Maybe if the sore losers would stop producing the useless hateful topics?

Try - Is voting for Obama like losing your virginity? - by AFSNCO
or dozens of other ones where conservatives keep pounding on how bad Obama is, how he cheated, how he lied, how he did this or that, how companies are laying off people or reducing their hour to part time so they don't have to pay Obamacare (in industries where most workers are part time anyway, this one is a real joke), how they should obstruct any legislation Obama tries to bring in to make sure he fails.

<<Beat us over the head with it, every day, with every detail -- have at it!>>

Do you think the left should just turn the other cheek when conservatives beat them over the head?

<<Obama and Reid are more interested in which seats they can take in 2014.>>

You mean the conservatives who obstructed every possible thing they could even if it harmed the country were not interested in how many seats they could get next election? You mean Limbaugh was just thinking of the good of the country when he said that he hoped Obama failed?

<<Your boo hoo "unfair treatment of Obama" is shallow and empty.>>

Compared to the Limbaugh comment, it is right on target.

<<You are apparently proud of the total BS that the Democrat party pinned on Romney. "Hates dogs">>

Yes, putting a dog on the roof for a 5 hour drive is the act of somebody concerned for the dog. Was a dogsitter out of his budget range for the holiday?

<<"put y'all back in chains">>

Well, it is only the 47% who are not millionaires. Oh wait, some of those 47% who pay no tax ARE millionaires!

I seem to remember 2010 when Nancy Pelosi announced that the Democrats didn't need to push ANY agenda until after the election. She was so sure they would win that she and the left sat smugly on their hands and did nothing. And America responded with the slap heard round the world.

So let's not get too smug here.

Look my mission here, is not to gloat. It is to point out the ridiculous garbage that was put out by the right and the GOP to try to convince their base they were winning.

This is not anymore than a post about how wrong information proves nothing. The very unintelligent use by some to persuade the mind of those whom they are trying to influence.

btc1, to be fair, the left didn't exactly roll out the welcome mat for Bush when he won. But then the right didn't went Clinton won. I could go on for as long as my memory will allow. Both sides are guilty of bad behavior. It's never going to get better. In fact, every election gets worse.

Good grief, do you ever stop producing useless gloating topics?

If you want to shove something down our throats every day, how about Obamas "balanced approach" detailed plan he spoke of during the campaign? Where is it? Remember, Obama claimed Romney lacked details while O didn't have any himself!! Dont try to use the desired "great outcomes" as outlined on his govt propaganda website -- details on how he plans to achieve these.

Beat us over the head with it, every day, with every detail -- have at it!

I think we are safe because there is no plan. Obama and Reid are more interested in which seats they can take in 2014.

"send me the tax the rich Bill, I'll sign it, I have a pen" (we will talk spending cuts after 2014)

Your boo hoo "unfair treatment of Obama" is shallow and empty. You are apparently proud of the total BS that the Democrat party pinned on Romney. "Killed a woman" "Hates dogs" "put y'all back in chains"

We know how you roll -- next time we wont foolishly underestimate how absurd campaign BS wins elections.

Well, Black Cat, I was actually speaking about the treatment of President Obama since his election. There really has been no call for it.

And the arrogance of the right side and the balderdash they have put out is appalling.

Nice to see that liberals are calling each other on it whenever one steps too far. It's a nice change from what I've seen the conservatives doing, never ever telling one of their own when it's been too much, and in fact always making excuses.

And yes, under the Bush years, conservatives did a LOT of gloating, and a LOT of demanding that liberals 'be gracious'.

Ladygator is right, it should stop, but btc1 is also right, that liberals have been more patient and tolerant than could be imagined over the last four years.

No problem. Glad to see some of us will call us on a few things.

The only reason, I did this is due to the rage us liberals took here for the entire last years, since Obama was elected and the gloating the conservatives had about getting him out of office this year. It has been a rough four years for the left, but, victory is ours as you point out.

Thank you michaelphoenix2 For the record, on election night I posted a congratulations to all my friends that supported obama. I will never understand why some people think the side that didn't win should be gracious yet the victor's can gloat? Both sides should show some class and dignity, shake hands and move forward.

Dude-- I'm a proud liberal like yourself

But its time to drop it. There is really no point in antagonizing them further.

The horse has been beaten

The fat lady has sung

The witch is in fact, dead

Time to move on my friend and stop rubbing salt in the wounds.

P.S.

Did I miss any cliches?
