"The President's campaign focused on giving targeted groups a big gift-so he made a big effort on small things," Romney told donors on a conference call, first reported by Maeve Reston of the L.A. Times. "Those small things, by the way, add up to trillions of dollars."

Romney claimed Obama had been "very generous" to blacks, Hispanics and younger voters, according to the Times, insisting that the policy decisions had been a decisive factor in high turnout that tipped the scale against him." ABC News

Currently, Obama is hell-bent on the destruction of the Republican party so he can institute his radical "change" in America which includes replacing the progressive tax code with a punitive code. (He let this slip a number of times including when he said there's a point where "rich" people have made enough...and that the rest belongs to the government.)

This communist-like approach is not only unconstitutional, it's flat-out dangerous.

First, Americans do nothing as the government confiscates the wealth of the "evil, greedy rich" Then, Americans do nothing as the government confiscates the wealth of "evil, greedy corporations"

Then, since history proves NO nation has ever taxed itself into prosperity, the government is forces to start taking from the middle class and, finally, taking from those who have very little....for the "collective good" of the nation.

Obama's talk about "sacrifice" is just old, recycled marxist philosophy...it's too bad too many Americans are more interest in the Kardashians than what their government is doing right in front of them.

That may not matter. As long as they have a majority in the HOR they can continue to obstruct the national government indefinitely. From what I hear, due to gerrymandering it's highly unlikely that the GOP will lose its majority in the GOP prior to the 2020 census.

The republican presidential candidate has lost the popular vote in 5 out of the last 6 elections. After the 2012 campaign the Obama campaign said the only republican they feared was John Huntsman. It will only get harder for republicans to win nationally unless they change their message.

I wouldn't linger over this too long though. Elections are supposed to be the presentation of new ideas. In this case it wasn't new by any means. But, I as well heard him say it. It wasn't enough for me to change my vote from my choice (it wasn't Obama) who offered elimination of the Income Tax and reducing Corporate Taxes to 0%. The tax revenue replacement would have provided an immediate boost to our economy and help bring back manufacturing jobs to the U.S.

My candidate was not allowed to debate in the Republican Primary Debates even though he out polled two other candidates who were permitted to debate. Perhaps his ideas were too avant-garde to the RNC, Romney or who ever did make the decession to exclude him. I can say Romney played a role in not allowing any new ideas to be debated via excluding him from the Presidential Debates.

Romney also hurt himself when his staff kept Ron Paul from having him [Paul] nominated at the RNC Convention. Paul would probably not won the nomination but he did have a few good ideas which should be considered. Paul's supporters are very passionate and they were cast aside. We are in desperate need of new workable ideas to get this country back to where it belongs. Keeping new ideas from ever being debated and adhering to doing politics as usual simply will not work. It never has.

it is funny how people keep saying romney brought nothing new to the table yet just this mournig i saw in the paper that everyone are now talking about closing loop holes in the taxes for the rich i heard mitt romney say that during the campaing sounds to me like they don,t want him as president but they will take his idea and make them thier own

You seem reluctant to answer my question of, "And did you say the same for the '99%' (people who claimed to represent 99% of us) when they defecated, urinated, raped, destroyed property, prohibited businesses from opening and other atrocities in their protesting?"

Could it be you support violent rather than peaceful protests?

I just read a press release that the Curiosity rover on Mars has found something very interesting that will be "for the history books". Maybe it found the last republican backing Romney.

--I have signed no such petition. However, unless someone is urging violent overthrow of our government, I think they have a free speech right that you are neglecting. --Well, perhaps and perhaps not. Obama increased the national debt at an even faster pace than Bush 2 did. OTOH, John McCain was known for working across the aisle and cutting deals. Barack Hussein Obama was never known for that, and was known for being a hard-left ideological purist with no known penchant for compromise of any sort. He calls for compromise from the Republicans. But his definition of "compromise" means: "hey Republicans, fall in line and vote my way because I say so. And no, I don't care to give in on any point."

Now, let's look at some Obama lies (in no particular order):

1) Benghazi - he knew it was an act of terror perpetrated by AQ and lied to the American people. Doesn't that concern you all?
2) Immigration reform - he promised to work on IR in his first term and didn't do squat about it.
3) Deficit - he promised to reduce the deficit, and increased it every year he was in office. He didn't even decrease it once.

And yes, Obama did a photo op with Chris Christie. And then it was off to Nevada. And what happened in the wake of that? Well, the power companies did mostly OK. But FEMA fell flat on it's keyster. So, yeah. Just as every leftie here was want to blame Bush for the Katrina debacle, it is more than fair to blame Obama for NOT managing the Sandy situation. He fumbled the ball and you know it. At least have the intellectual honesty and intestinal fortitude to admit: "yeah, he (obama) could have done a lot, lot more. He didn't handle it so well."

Well, Speaker of the House John Boehner is now talking about raising tax revenues to help reduce the fiscal deficit while Gov. Jindal is publicly distancing himself from Gov. Romney's recent remarks within just days of the latest election. Those strike me as rather significant departures from the talking points of just a few weeks ago. I am encouraged.

That is correct. I should have written "slightly less than half" of the electorate. Incidentally, I also erred below in writing that the change needs to be from 47% to 50.1%. Apparently I was thinking of Romney's earlier reference to his foregoing efforts to garner support from 47% of the public, because he actually received close to 48% of the popular vote. Moving from 48% to 50.1% is even less of a change to win an election.

From what I've learned over the years, Romney did the right thing. When you give money to the Red Cross it does NOT NECESSARILY go to what you want to contribute to.

Photo-op in NJ? Really? Maybe you should ask Governor Christie about that. It was a bit more than a aphoto-op. And adding to the deficit, if McCain would have been elected he would have had the same problem. Jobs were coming back, as was housing. Up until this "fiscal cliff", things were going in the right direction, and they still can if they fix the "fiscal cliff". The problem is too much negative talk and not enough positive talk. If you say things are going to be terrible, they will be. If you look at things in a more positive light, things happen that make the outcome better.

Romney was the one that took advantage of Sandy. He bought a bunch of goods for the victims even though the Red Cross was asking for money and then had people bring those goods to put in the trucks. Now that is a photo-op. Then his 47% remark and him saying they were sending the job from Jeep to China also did him in, not to mention his flip flopping of what he had said on campaign and the debates, then his campaign reversing some of the things he said. Add that to the fact that he was not the one all Republicans wanted, but he was the only one to have a chance of beating Obama. The Republican party is split now, just as the Democratic party was at times. Unless all the party is on the same page, their candidate will lose.

Mitt left out the big gift to his wealthy friends from Obama, when he extended the Bush tax cuts to the Mitts of the nation. How soon some forget.
