We'll see how long this one lasts. :D

edit: To the best of my understanding, this topic (or others like it) was supposed to act as a healthy, positive medium or equilibrium, if you will, between persons of different political and ideological backgrounds.

Something to lighten up the mood a little.

Not sure who moved this topic, but I'll bring it back.

I LOVE Heine. Can't ever seem to get enough.

Absolutely the freshest, most delectable coffee I have found. ;-P

Okay, some of you might think I've flipped, but you're in for it now.
I don't speak Korean, but this kid sings it and you will listen to the whole thing. He reminds me of Paul Potts and Susan Boyle. Amazing.

That was amazing I75, most beautiful.

Another weddin song was written by Paul Stookey of Peter, Paul, and Mary...after he became a Christian.

Paul felt something was missing and began seeking for that something more which would help him to realize the hope about which he was singing. He spoke to Bob Dylan who told him to read the Bible, which he did. Thus when a young man spoke to him about Jesus and salvation, after a 1968 concert, he was ready to listen. He gave his heart to Jesus and made an open profession of saving faith in Jesus Christ.

Noel Paul Stookey's best known song: "There is Love"

In the fall of 1969, Paul's best friend and singing partner, Peter Yarrow (Peter of Peter Paul and Mary) was about to be married and Paul wanted to write a song for the wedding which would convey Paul's Christian convictions while respecting Peter's Jewish faith.

Paul Stookey ........There is love.

Anyone for a wedding video?

It's not what you probably think. No cake here. (It's not the reception)

I guess they saved not having to hire a soloist.

I haven't adopted a Boxer just yet though. :-D

On Saturday I saw a pair of 6 month-old Jack Russell/Shi Tsu mix(brother and sister) at the no-kill shelter the other day. That mixture produces a pair of calico-colored Schnauzer-looking cuties (but with better hair than a Schnauzer). It is so hard seeing them in the shelter. I want to rescue them all.

Don't know just yet what little child will be rescued. What I do know is that he/she will belong... to a loving home.

"Where'd all these non-political threads come from all of a sudden?"

This thread has been around for three years. Tomorrow marks the beginning of its fourth year. Although it's not the whole story behind its existence, I think our moderator, Don, adequately explained the reason for it in his OP edit of June 20, 2011.

What's that guy doing with a bass fiddle in a fish market? That's "bass" as in music, not as "bass" the largemouth variety.

I did not know where to put this,,,,so it is here.

You can vote on brackets for Constitutional Madness (play on March Madness)..
You get to vote on the biggest breeches of the Constitution by the Obama Administration. It is not down to the final 16. Constitutional Madness

Pretty interesting....

Don lost his younger brother, not thinking he'd be the first to go.

The two brothers were looking each other in the eye during that song, hugging each other at the end of it. It was their reunion concert, after a bad breakup a decade before.

--

Wow, I just read the comments before I played the song again. Somebody else also noticed the way they were looking at each other.

Massachusetts firefighters sing Disney song to calm child during rescue

3-22-14

"“When they put the ladder down that’s when she started freaking out a little bit,” Kristin told MyFoxBoston.com of Kaelyn.

Firefighter John Keough, a dad himself, started talking to Kaelyn and discovered her love of the Disney movie Frozen. His partner, Scott Myette, also a dad, pulled out his cellphone and began playing the theme song to the move, MyFoxBoston.com reported.

When the firefighters began singing along to the song, Kaelyn “was comfortable with us,” and went with them up the ladder.

Myette said his experience as a dad helps him in situations involving children.

“You say, okay how would my kids be comforted in this situation, so anything we can do to make them more comfortable makes our job a lot easier,” he told MyFoxBoston.com."
