Motorists- celebrate! It appears that the U.S. national average for a gallon of gasoline has peaked... for now. GasBuddy data shows that as of this morning, the average price has dropped to $3.644/gal. While the drop has barely started and will gain momentum, it's a drop from April 25, when prices averaged $3.657/gal, and far lower than 2013's price peak of $3.74/gal which occurred February 26, 2013.

"Finally, the news motorists have been waiting for- it appears that at least for now, the national average has peaked," said GasBuddy.com Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan. Here, even when everyone else around the country starts seeing relief from pump prices dropping significantly, prices linger at peak levels so much longer as a large number of city retailers juice motorists at the pump. Thank goodness for Costco gas.

National average peaks, to begin moving down? The national average for a gallon of gasoline has peaked, the drop has barely started and will gain momentum. *The next holiday is coming and fuel prices could go back up just as easily. Fuel prices are somewhat stable depending on the gas station. Waiting for fuel prices to go down and stay down, winter blend over - summer blend being produced and supply is up.
***Excuses, Excuses! Big Oil can charge whatever they want at the pump and we will never have any other option but to pay, pay, and pay! Use whatever reason you want and put the blame wherever you want. The price of fuel at the pump will never come down to reasonable levels, the 'fuel gods' have spoken.
**More Refineries are Not the Answer, STOP Exporting Fuel IS THE Answer!
*If 'they' can export that much fuel, there are enough refineries already, there are NO need for MORE Refineries! OR for any Refineries located at the 'source' of the domestic crude oil!
***Take care of the domestic fuel market first and above all else before exporting and selling fuel or natural gas to other countries!
Drive vehicles with high mpg, are very safe, reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money.
The price of fuel at the pump is too high!
