It's the most asked question to GasBuddy analysts: when will we see peak gas prices? It's made to sound like an easy question that is remarkably difficult to know until you see markets crashing down, but we're starting to see clearer signs that we're closer to top.

Nationally, gas prices have slowed their rise in the last two days, and while they haven't begun a notable shift lower, past years lead me to believe that the rally that started in February is nearing its peak.

Oil prices have stumbled in the last two trading sessions, and are back under $100/bbl. While this factor alone isn't enough to call it, we've also seen wholesale gasoline prices below recent values. Add in that today is the first day that gasoline terminals...

With the new gas stations popping up on Ladson Road the gas price wars are starting. Great news for the thousands of us who travel that road everyday!

It's going to go higher.

Just remember, in January 2009, the month Obummer seized control through deception, the average price of a gallon of regular gasoline in the US was $1.85 and Diesel was $2.38.

I will believe it when I see it happen, gas prices here are still close to five dollars. It would be nice to see it drop but I do have my doubts, also here in WI. we have all kinds of events besides stat fair. And here our gas stations love to over charge us for all the events!!:(

While we produce enough gas for our own needs we need to regulate production so that we keep all the oil we produce here for future use~!!

"U.S. gas prices appear to be nearing peak"

Really???

Someone said gas prices 'peaked' when prices hit one dollar.

Then someone else said gas prices 'peaked' when they hit two dollars.

And another said gas prices 'peaked' when they hit three dollars.

But with all of the predictions about gas prices 'peaking', they somehow edged up to the four dollar range for a short time.
