Family and friends arriving in Florida to escape winter weather and visit us may find a few gasoline stations without fuel, particularly in Central Florida near Orlando.

“There has been a somewhat imperfect storm of events that have led to wholesale tightness in fuel, and in some cases, closed stations or at least sporadic outages, particularly for the unbranded gasoline c-stores like 7-Eleven and Circle-K,” said Gregg Laskoski, senior petroleum analyst for GasBuddy.com.

Prices, particularly for unbranded gasoline in Florida, have lifted very quickly. Here’s why:

Not to be funny, but there are a lot of retired folk living in FL. It would be Smart for someone to gather up the "natural gas" in the state.

Fog in the Gulf of Mexico? Maybe, someday, they will use radio detection and ranging to "see" in the fog. They could use the abbreviation RADAR for it.

GBFWB72--That's what happenes when you let North American oil developer Politicians shut down cheap oil from true oil rich countries with lies and war-and switch us over to oil with lifting costs between $65 and $90.00(that's up to $87.00 more per barrel to lift!)and the mandate that sulfuric acid corn alcohol be added to it(2005 and 2007 ethanol mandates)And Obama knew,and knows all about all of it and is doing nothing to stop any of it-

You just have to love that adding ethanol to real gas to make crapanol is not only bad for your car, fuel economy, and the environment, it also raises the price too!

And since there are folks like me who want ethanol free real gas for our cars and boats, the places that do sell it charge even more for it. Even though it should be cheaper, they know they can gouge us to get real gas now too! Regular real gas is now $4.09 compared to regular crapanol at about $3.47. Premium is $4.34 versus $3.89 for premium crapanol.

There has been a somewhat imperfect storm of events that have led to wholesale tightness in fuel, and in some cases, closed stations or at least sporadic outages.
Florida is working with hand to mouth gasoline inventories. The state is transitioning to summer blend gasoline and that process still has about 40 days to go. Supply and weather delays, the state usually has a flat demand for gasoline but it is the busiest month in Florida in the last six years.
***Things happen and this is one of them. Wait for the gasoline supply to catch up with the demand, higher prices will prevail and nothing can be done about it. NEXT!
Drive vehicles with high mpg, are very safe, reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money.
The price of fuel at the pump is too high!

Haven't seen any stations out of fuel, but prices have certainly jumped lately. A few weeks ago the $3.20s were common. Now anything less than $3.50 is a rarity. Some stations are in the $3.60s.
