If inventories are up why do gas prices keep rising? So much for supply and demand.

Hudson Valley ha!d a winter storm followed by sub zero cold. After the snow plows went home the only traffic seemed to be trucks delivering heating oil !

A lot of inventory. Worthless to compare it to last year. Question is, how long would it last? Price should be lower.

Doesn't matter, the price still climbs. Supply and demand are no longer the indicator of price. The system is a sham, what a shame.

if we didn't export so much distillates wewould have a surplus. gas inventories increased in the east but refinery utilization was the worst in the country. plus prices have been increaseing here.????

Again I'm not sure if the EIA has the numbers right, but they want us to feel uneasy about the future of gas prices as they are sending mixed messages.

It shouldn't matter that gasoline and distillate inventories increased 12 million barrels. Since crude oil inventories decreases by a couple million barrels they have a great reason to raise the price of gas.
