Bad news for motorists preparing to travel for Christmas- the national average has seen it's low for the season and is starting to move higher.

Oil prices bounced higher last week, as did wholesale gasoline prices after the Fed got things going by announcing tapering its quantitive easing program, which triggered optimism that the economy may be strong enough without the strongest Fed action, which could mean more economic growth in the days ahead.

Indeed, third quarter GDP was revised upward, surprising the market, and also giving the bulls on the market reason to run. Lastly, there also seem to have been some refinery problems that have crept up in the last two weeks, in the Great Lakes and the Midwest, as well as in...

when 9/11/01 came, gas prices were 1.29-1.39, prices jumped to 1.89-1.99, price gouging was illegal, this is the best way to show price gouging, look at the pump prices...

Is this just another way of saying "we are being gouged by big oil" once again? It is amazing how prices seem to sky rocket around holidays and the so-called experts point to all of these variables which are the cause. How gullible do they think we are? I have no difficulty with prices being controlled by supply and demand, but don't treat us like morons.

they think we have to pay $3.50-4.00! just because the economy is artificially getting better (still sucks in places!) so they get hurt even more, what a crock but weve come to expect this BS!

Darned recovering economy anyhow! When the economy was crashed in 2008 gas prices dropped. Republican politicians promised that they would do it again if elected. In spite of their best efforts, the economy is recovering and oil prices are rising again.

During an oil boom, this should not be happening. This was what happens when the market is controlled by greed.

National average picks up steam as oil prices recover. The national average has seen its low for the season and is starting to move higher, Oil prices bounced higher last week, as did wholesale gasoline prices after the Fed got things going by announcing tapering its quantitive easing program, and there also seem to have been refinery problems in Great Lakes, Midwest, and California.
Excuses, Excuses! Big Oil can charge what ever they want at the pump and we will never have any other option but to pay, pay, and pay! ***The annual holiday fuel hosing at hand, bend over - here it comes - AGAIN!!!! Use what ever reason you want and put the blame where ever you want BUT, the price of fuel at the pump will never come down to reasonable levels, the 'fuel gods' have spoken.
It may be better just to stay home!
Drive vehicles with high mpg, are very safe, reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money.
The price of fuel at the pump is too high!
