After a major breakthrough with Iran over the weekend, the major question is what impact will this have on oil prices? The answer: it could cause the recent uptick in prices to reverse course completely.

Oil prices opened the week notably lower, as traders reacted to the news that perhaps Iran's oil will be back on the table in the future, pending agreements to curb the serious sanctions plaguing Iran, resulting in a crippling grip on its oil program.

If Iran and the West can ultimately come back to the table and agree on a longer term resolution, there could be a lasting affect on oil prices. The fact of the matter is that Iran holds a sizable chunk of oil production. With the United States producing oil domestically at...

Oh yea because Venezuela is so scary and has been such a threat to the world for so long(holding back laughter) and Iran with their one bomb(not) are you f@#ing kidding me? why in the hell are so many people scared of these piss ant little countries? We are the most powerful nation on earth-the only real threat that Kuwait,Iraq,Iran,Venezuela-ect.ect.ect.ect. was to our Career oil men politician leaders economic futures---because we cant compete with low oil prices, and these giant oceans of cheap oil need to be taken out of the equation for these greedy oil men to develop leftover, hard to access, extremely expensive to develop frack, shale, and tar oil-and you and I are going to pay three times more for it at least for the rest or our lives.

Iran gets their bomb. They launch from friendly Venezuela. We have an EMP incident. We don't have to worry about gas prices any more. Problem solved.

You have Google-check it out,You think it's ok that 5000 of our soldiers are dead 33,000 are seriously wounded for life-and China never fired a shot and they get $15.00 per barrel oil from now on and we get leftover frack and shale oil for $100.00 per barrel? Plus it cost all of us trillions of dollars plus interest borrowed from China? If I'm wearing a tin foil hat you are wearing a blind fold.

Look at that, when you make friends with true oil rich nations oil prices go down-when you make enemies oil prices sky rocket, just ask China and Russia-oh wait they dont want to talk right now, they are too busy hauling off tankers full of Iraq's oil for $15.00 per barrel-while we pay $100.00 per barrel for leftover scraps---I wonder who likes it that way? US oil men? or community organizer lawyers? Wake up frack shale and tar sand oil cost many times more to develop than real oil fields in true oil rich nations---US energy independence? That is just another way of saying-"we will be paying three to four times more for fuel from now on"

What a crock. This is controlled by the government. We cut back, we drive less, we find alternatives, and all we see is higher and higher prices. This is a fixed economy thanks to the greedy government and it's about taking from the people for their own personal greed.

They sure didn't "dip" very much. The price is still in the mid $90s a barrel and it should be more like $80 a barrel.
