Gas prices across many communities are now the lowest since they've been since the Libyan crisis in February of 2011. Nearly 15% of all stations in the U.S. are now selling gasoline under the psychologically important $3/gal level," said GasBuddy.com Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan.

Last year on this date saw just 1% of stations selling under that level, so motorists aren't doing too shabby. States that saw the largest declines last week were Montana, Ohio, and Indiana, all where prices declined at least 15 cents per gallon.

Several stations in Tulsa, Oklahoma, which features the cheapest gas in the U.S. are selling at a mere $2.45/gallon, a number so low that had you said that just six weeks ago, motorists would...

We'd been down to $2.79 for E10 and $2.99 for E0 for a few days. Now it's back up to $2.89/$3.09.

Maybe they will learn from this. A Lower price brings in more customers. Yes the profit per item will be less the volume will make up more than the difference!

needs to drop below $3/gal, but doubt it. One Exxon station nearly went a dime up over the weekend. Hmmm... Turkey Day coming up?

WTI crude oil $94.60 Brent crude oil $106.40 thats up from yesterday---almost everyday I see someone post how Obama somehow magicaly ruined gas prices since the market came back?!? I just cant see how any one can come to that conclusion? Crude oil before the Iraq war was under $25.00 per barrel and had been thanks in part to Bill Clintons oil for food program with Iraq for a full decade-the program ended the day the war was started, and soon after that oil started to climb higher that it had ever been before-we saw our first $2.00 $3.00 $4.00+ gasoline in history crude oil's all time price peak was in july of 2008 at $145.00 per barrel as a direct result of Dick Cheney and George Bush foreign policy-I am sure the incredibly ridiculos price of oil had a lot to do with the market meltdown at the end of 2008 and spring of 2009----the worst crash in 70 years caused most commodities to be cut in half with the market including oil so you saw $4.00 a gallon gas drop to $2.00 a gallon gas,and just as soon as the market came back so did the high price that was bought and paid for with war(Iraq's ocean of cheap oil was shut off for five full years)and lies and a deregulated banking system------China and Russia now control most of Iraq's ocean of cheap oil and we split rocks open by pumping very expensive diesel fuel and millions of gallons of water down empty holes for our oil-you know "drill baby" in order to develop oil with incredibly high support costs(frack and shale) the price of oil needs to stay high-so get used to high prices. It all had very little,if anything at all to do with Obama.

Financial speculators on Wall Street, ie Goldman Sachs, have more to do w/high rices than
the cost of drilling.

National average hits lowest since Libya crisis. The 'gas price god' continues to lower the price of gas to a more reasonable level, much more than what Barry would ever want it to happen. Below $2.50 or $3/Gallon, 'It's A Good Thing!' The fuel prices at the pump should be much lower for 'coming out of the closet' Sneekers666 'spending gone wild' very bad 'in the crapper' 'dog and pony show' socialist economy to recover just a little more than what it's ever going to do otherwise! The 'socialist in charge' does Not know how economics works. This country and the economy has suffered enough for much too long!
It will be bigger news when gas prices are below $2.50/gallon OR better - $2.00/gallon!
It does Not mattter how much the fuel prices go down, Big Oil is still making a profit!
Drive vehicles with high mpg, are very safe, reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money.
The price of fuel at the pump is too high!
