The Energy Information Administration released its weekly report on the status of petroleum inventories in the United States today.

Here are some highlights:

CRUDE INVENTORIES:
Crude oil inventories increased by 1.6 million barrels to a total of 385.4 million barrels. At 385.4 million barrels, inventories are 10.6 million barrels above last year (2.8%) and are above the upper part of the average range for this time of year.

GASOLINE INVENTORIES:
Gasoline inventories decreased by 3.8 million barrels to 210.0 million barrels. At 210.0 million barrels, inventories are up 7.7 million barrels, or 3.8% higher than one year ago. Here's how individual regions and their gasoline inventory fared last week: East...

Oil went up $120.00 per barrel from march 20 2003 to july 2008-started at $25.00 a barrel and went all the way to $145.00--the highest price ever recorded,as a direct result of Cheney and Bush policy--it droped during the crash like most other commodities and came right back up with the market recovery---now it has settled out at the ridiculous price of around $100.00 a barrel-interestingly enough at that laughable price you can even make a profit spliting rocks open by pumping diesel and millions of gallons of water down empty holes for oil(fracking)even more interesting is Halliburton sells most of the supplies and materials for this way overpriced rock oil.And neither Cheney or Bush are candle makers-they are lifelong career oil men-you dont think that maybe that may have influenced their invasion of Iraq? No cant be it must all be Obama's fault,or maybe Carter(cant blame Clinton he kept oil below $25.00 per barrel for 8 years at one point it was $14.00 with help from his oil for food program in Iraq)

Are the gasoline inventories down because the refineries are producing more heating oils for the winter months, and if this is the case, will some of that be diverted to diesel fuel and cause a price drop there?

MANIPULATION !!!!!

We need to stop exporting our production, then our inventories would rise due to lower demand and then prices would fall as they should have done already.

If they think we have more than enough in storage due to lower demand then prices should drop and not increase because our inventories are too low (which they are not).

I am skeptical of anything coming out of the Oblamer Administration after all the lies, coverups, scandals, & gross incompetence. The one certainy is that we working class taxpayers will continue to be screwed at the pump, with our utilities, & with our taxes to pay for Oblamer's entitlement spending. Stop this madness in 2014!
