You may have noticed- gas price declines have begun to slow in many areas across the country over the last week, and in some areas, low prices have given way to slightly higher prices, thanks to some optimism last week surrounding the debt ceiling and government shutdown.

The national average dropped a little over a penny in the last week to $3.371 per gallon, or about 40-cents lower than last year on this date. Prices were still holding under a $3 average in just two cities: Lubbock, TX and Tulsa, OK.

Meanwhile, Honolulu, Hawaii may finally drop under $4/gal on average in the coming weeks, the lone city above that level. Prices there declined to $4.06 per gallon, shedding 3-cents in the last week.

Sorry...not gonna happen no matter how much gas falls.

We've got an idiot in the White House who's already doubled the national debt. The train wreck known as ObozoCare is now in full tilt, ready to slam us hard in January. Already people are losing their jobs, their hours or their employer coverage because of it. Obozo has spent TRILLIONS on economic stimuli which didn't work.

The economy will stagger along while this imbecile remains president!

As my husband's publicist, I am trying to find ways to promote a digital book which he recently wrote and published on Amazon/Kindle (with a suggested retail price of $2.99). The book in essence describes the problem: artificially high gas prices during most of this century. He then describes why gas prices are high and who is responsible. Finally, he offers a simple straightforward solution to bring down artificially high gas prices. To be successful, the solution will likely require a few minutes of help from individual readers.

The book discusses a number of other relevant issues, including a way to ignite a widespread economic recovery; one that actually includes middle class Americans. Ironically, the longest chapter (by far) in the book deals with the increasingly controversial so called Q.E. Programs carried out by the Federal Reserve.

The problem I (and my husband) face, is that we are not particularly familiar with the "blogosphere". In other words, we are not sure what is acceptable with regard to mentioning or promoting a book on a website or a blog site. If you have any suggestions or ideas, we would very much appreciate hearing them.

It sure has slowed down! So much so that the prices have increased 28 cents per gallon at some stations.

What did the Great Lakes do wrong? (Says he in Minnesota, which borders Lake Superior, and had a ten cent bounce in the wrong direction yesterday).

And with prices where they were this time last year - how STUPID was the electorate to give Obama four more years???

Election Day 2012 was a national disaster - many things would be less expensive (especially in the energy sector) if the US government encouraged harvesting energy resources rather than fighting them tooth and nail.

We should not act as if anything above $3 per gallon is LOW. Even though the "press" is telling us how excited we should be.
