Gas prices across the country remain in somewhat of a limbo as we await tomorrow's announcement from the White House. The stakes are high: attack Syria and upset what stability there is in the region, or not attack, and avoid the wrath of the American people, and the people far beyond our borders.

There's the possibility of a big impact on gasoline prices as well- with all the threats from Syria itself, Iran, Russia, it would likely put tremendous upward pressure on oil prices, and thus gasoline prices, even as oil consumption drops in the world's largest oil consuming country.

There's already been talk about releasing oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve in the case that oil prices spike, but would that be enough to...

prices slowly dropping at some stations here. For those claiming that pump prices aren't tied to politics, here's the best proof.

The Strategic Petroleum Reserve should never be touched unless the US is attacked, not to use it to settle other countries wars.

Obama needs to look at the check book. Seems to me that there is insufficient justification to finance his proposed action with funds we don't have. They would put me in jail for hot checks.

MOSCOW (Reuters) - The Syrian government has accepted a Russian proposal to put its chemical weapons under international control to avoid a possible U.S. military strike, Interfax news agency quoted Syria's foreign minister as saying on Tuesday.

Now you can stop YOUR speculating.

Because the oil men and buisness men got sick of the politicians telling them what to do,and so they became the politicians themselves-take a look at Dick Cheneys 2005 energy policy act. For 8 full years big oil was our government.

why would we allow a system where something as important to the economy as fuel prices is tied to political actions

The only thing the American people get out of war(or support for Israel during war)with the middle east is higher fuel prices higher and higher deficit's that suck up all the money for our future, and a price never worth paying the lives of our soldiers. The first time we went through this was the late 60s early 70s wars in the middle east-our support for Israel got us OPEC and 70% higher fuel prices, destroyed our economy, almost ruined our auto industry-and drained the pockets of most Americans. The second time with the Invasion of Iraq oil prices more than quadrupled, destroyed our economy, almost ruined our auto industry, drained the pockets of most Americans-and got us set up on frack and shale oil that costs three times more than middle east oil(all while China and Russia drain Iraq's oil wealth)And whats left of the American middle class pays for most of it.Most Americans in the last two presidential elections voted for the man that was talking about ending two wars and not starting more wars-just think if it would have went the other way with MR.WW3 (John McCain) or lets invade Iran(Romney) We cant just invade that area now China and Russia are making deals for cheap oil in Iraq,Iran,Kuait,ect.ect.ect.
