These quick reports are perfect to anticipate fuel prices. They are relatively easy to follow along with.

Gasoline inventory in the Midwest dropped 1mb but refinery utilization also dropped 1.5%. I find it interesting that distillate inventories are up - are the refiners creating a shortage of gasoline in order to keep the price up?

Averages are up but the speculators will still try to twist the decline around to scare the market.

Gas Prices stuck at $3.49/gal. here. You can check the price at one station and know what the price is all over Union County, N. C. Been this way for ages. I think someone in this county is able to control and manipulate gas prices. I've heard who he is, but have no proof. Wish the FTA would investigate.

With the gasoline inventories at 17.1 million barrels MORE than last year, you can be sure any small drop since last week is the perfect excuse for a BIG increase in prices!

Refineries switching over to winter where they make more heating oil and less gasoline. Reverse of a similar change that happens every spring.
