Need a break from high gasoline prices? If you do (and who the heck doesn't?) this could be a decent week for you. I expect that across Canada and the U.S. that gasoline prices in most areas will decline. The amount of course will vary by area, but California is likely to see larger decreases. Price declines in the Great Lakes are starting to catch up with the decline in wholesale prices, so declines in that region may begin to slow down in the coming week.

Oil prices continue to shed value with the open of the market, with West Texas Intermediate (WTI) declining to $93/bbl, notably lower than where it stood last week Monday when prices were clinging to the upper $90s.

The national average across the U.S. has declined ...

It hasn't slipped in Danville, Illinois in months when its 40 cents cheaper only 30 miles away!! I say Boycott all stations and buy just from Casey's since they are in most rural areas too. We will see prices fall allot in just a week if we all stick together.

We liberated Kuait in 91(Kuait has more high quality easy to get oil than anyone anywhere could ever dream of)liberated? dont you think we could have gotten A deal on some affordable oil?I think the news told us that Kuait did not want us on their soil?-----We owned Iraq for ten years no deal there either? Now China and France get the oil? Not one US company awarded one single contract? OIl oil everywhere but only $4.00+gal gas for us? The last thing US oil men want is for us to have A source of affordable oil,and two Texas oil men have their fingerprints all over these deals.

With the exception of 4 months in 08 we have been getting screwed for 10 years(since the day we got fooled into Iraq)They say we have to reduce our dependence on foreign oil-they never said it was going to be cheap-we are now producing more oil than we have at any time since peak oil in America 40 years ago and the price is almost as high as it ever was. Some people here are blaming Obama? The oil companies in the US are exporting millions of barrels of hard to get expensive oil,if they were allowed to drill in more places they would export millions more barrels(this is about money not giving us A break at the pump)why? simple because now they can.Hard to get expensive American oil will never be able to compete with high pressure high quality open desert oil from say Iraq-and now china has access to that(along with france and A few others)
