March is over, and the lion has been digested by the lamb, as gasoline prices began March in an upward trend before the lamb took over and prices began dropping. It's a trend that has led to the first decrease between the start and end of March since 2003, when the national average fell a mere nickle.

"Gas prices in March came in like a lion and are going out like a lamb," said GasBuddy.com Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan. "For the first time in a decade gasoline prices are going to be lower at the end of March than the beginning. GasBuddy data shows that the last time this happened was in 2003 when prices fell a nickle between the start of the month and the conclusion. Essentially what we're seeing here this month is perhaps...

mdc: it usually does for Summer driving. That's a few more days... April should be mellow, then May will see a sharp increase again.

Just think how much lower gas prices would be if the Obama Administration would concentrate efforts on controlling oil speculators & reducing our dependence on foreign oil by approving the Keystone Pipeline! As we have come to realize, their focus is on major contributors from the Big Three & tree huggers rather than doing anything to improve our economy or reduce our pain at the pump.

Are you kidding me, the prices haven't changed that much, if you're talking about under $3/gal then you can say lamb. It is still $3.69 around here and my wallet feels it when I fill up.

Does this explain the $.20/gal jump yesterday or another Speedway/Meijer effect?
