At latest check, the U.S. national average is up about 12c/gal in the last week, while in Canada, prices have climbed 3.5c/L. Already prices in Los Angeles have vaulted forward, in addition to other SoCal areas. I'd be remiss not to include the lucky Great Lakes, who in addition to seeing significant widespread price hikes today, also saw a refinery explosion outside Toledo, Ohio, at a refinery. Already prices in Los Angeles have vaulted forward, in addition to other SoCal areas. That frees the highway up for me to take a leisurely drive! I am not being selfish, it's just a statement of fact. The highways would be a lot more crowded if we had dollar a gallon gas.

Maybe the US and world govts. flooding the world full of cheap money might be a bit more realistic. The Mideast and other oil production areas in a constant war footing and expolsions at Mexican oil headquarters aren't causing higher crude prices? The US govt. and green dreamer citizens make it near impossible to build refineries. No speculators or oil companies could raise oil prices more than clueless politicians and their green dreamer supporters!
