seems the price of fuel drives our economy more than anything else. we really do need to be energy independent. i suggest higher fuel standards, get rid of the speculators, and take advantage of our natural gas reserves.

I work at a gas station and our prices always go down right before the weekend to increase our sales on other items. The only exception is if the prices are going up to us

Keep them dropping. We are going to need more money to pay for the new fiscal cliff taxes.

You can remove all Greedway states(OH,KY,IN,IL,WV,MI,MN) from that list. They all spiked today. Ohio stations jumped as much as 50 cents/gallon, all settling at the collusion price of $3.259.

The government cannot push the high mpg cars if gas does not go up greatly in price. If gas stays under $3 a gal who is gonna buy a $40000 car that gets 50 mpg or is rechargeable??

people resist change , then wonder why we go over the same problems year after year. we have increased our oil production the last four years. we are using more natural gas. if you have nothing new or productive to say you should just step aside and stop blaming everyone else for you being a crybaby loser.

IMHO, 'greed' is a code word for 'never read and understood a corporate annual report.' Before you ask, I have not worked a day in the oil industry, but my one-time hobby was stock picking - to the point I felt like I was a one-man mutual fund.
About 90% of the money is made in the production of crude oil, and that is a world commodity.
Remember, a Government powerful enough to lower the profits of the oil companies to a number you like is also powerful enough to set your wages to a level you don't like. Those us who are old enough can remember Nixon's wage and price controls. The wage controls worked much better.

Mr. DeHaan- You make a great point. Gas prices are NOT low. We as a nation have been conditioned to think this is low because of what we experienced this summer. We Gas Buddy folks need to remind our friends and neighbors that $3 shouldn't be a "gas price crash" it is only the beginning of getting back to where gas should be.

What would be the price if Obama would drill in the USA and stop paying other countries to drill for oil in their own back yard? What would be the price of gas here if Obama would allow the Canadian pipe line to be built. The folks that voted for him are fools if they think for one minute he will help the little guy. He will only help you if give him lots of money for his pocket. He when in office four years ago not as a millionary, but just look at him now.
How does a guy that NEVER had a job become a millionary?
It's mind over matter: He does not mind and we don't matter.

energy independence is what we need. why do we ship the oil we drill in alaska and of our coasts overseas. if we kept our oil and used our natural gas reserves we would not have to depend on others.

The only gas under $3 around here was $2.99 at the Shell station that was cheap-selling the last of their gasoline before they went out of business.
