A strong U.S. dollar is certainly helping push oil prices back towards the $69 level today, as well as a concern about jobs (or lack thereof).

While the four week average for new jobless claims has dropped to its lowest level since late-Summer 2008, there are fresh concerns about the speed of economic recovery and the hiring of new workers. The concerns about the jobless rate coupled with a strong dollar today have sent oil prices down closer to $70.

The U.S. dollar is showing its best performance...

I still think having the US green dollar is better then carrying around a $1,600 gold coin. Who is going to give you change for gas for it or if you need something to eat.

A lot of people don't understand that when the government prints more money, the value of your money goes down. This causes you to need more money to acquire gas, food, etc.

Probably a one day bump in the dollar.
I expect the dollar to fall more so gas will rise.

I would want the US dollar over a barrel of oil or a gold coin. Someone can always give me change for a few dollars but cant for that oil or $1,600 gold piece if I bought some milk and bread.

funny when people post things on here like they don't realize the prices can be set to whatever they want. its a game... you pay what they want.. no other option

It takes a while to hit the lowest price at the pumps. Atleast like minimum 4 days based on the futures.
