A survey says the average price of a gallon of regular gasoline in the U.S. is holding steady, rising 3½ cents over the last three weeks to $3.69.

Industry analyst Trilby Lundberg said Sunday that crude oil prices are little changed and strong refinery output has quenched higher demand. She anticipates minor price declines ahead.

The survey taken Friday shows the average price for a gallon of midgrade gas was $3.88 and the average price for a gallon of premium was $4.03. Diesel averaged $3.96 a gallon.

Of cities surveyed in the continental U.S., Baton Rouge, Louisiana, had the lowest average price at $3.33 a gallon. San Francisco had the highest average at $4.14 a gallon.

at those prices the average worker will not be able to recover from the economic crash of mid-2008 until at least the end of this decade if not longer.

earlier this year due to the extreme cold winter, they promised us lower economic activity SHOULD result in moderate gas prices by Memorial Day. Well, I guess their definition of MODERATE is right around $ 4.00 a gallon.

Amazing that we have a glut of crude, yet they won't refine it. They want the high prices and it's collusion, plain and simple!

Don't like high gas prices? Slow down and keep your tires properly inflated.

We wonder why they are not dropping with all the new US crude oil in production. But they have just cut back on imports I am guessing.

There is no way in the world that anyone can rationalize that $3.69 is a good price for gas.
