On average, a gallon of gas cost more than 10 cents less last year than it did in 2012. Experts say that trend will continue.

The AAA predicts that the average price of a gallon of gasoline will fall 5 cents in 2014. Gas prices have the potential to fall to their lowest level since 2010 this year. In 2013, gas prices averaged $3.49 a gallon, down from $3.60 a gallon the year before, Bloomberg notes.

Last year, drivers in South Carolina paid the lowest average gas prices around $3.24 a gallon, while California had the highest average gas price at $3.89 a gallon. During 2013, gas prices sank under $3 a gallon at least briefly in twelve states. In 13 states, gas prices temporarily topped $4 a gallon.

Really? I think at best the pump price will remain at 2013 price + or - .50.

I'll believe it when I see it. Our prices here are a whopping 25 cents higher than they were last year, which is just outrageous. Our pockets are empty and our politicians would rather rake in six figure handouts from big oil companies and blood-thirsty speculators than adequately regulate these bastards so we can see some more realistic market prices for oil and gasoline.

Is it like the 'lower fuel prices of 2013'? Weren't any here ; that is unless you discount the 60 cents per gal. Increase first. My wallet knows the difference though.

So how about today gasoline is posting its biggest loss in over a year. Down almost 10 cents a gallon!

Who makes up these dumb stories? Gas prices jumped in florida the last few days. Just a few weeks ago, the gas stations here were $3.15 for regular. Now they are over $3.49 and climbing daily.

Who makes up these stories? Gas prices jumped in southern California that last few days. Just a few weeks ago, the cheap gas stations here were $3.35 for regular. Now they are over $3.50 and climbing daily.
