The U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to hear an important case involving a narrow aspect of the Environmental Protection Agency’s power to regulate greenhouse gas emissions from power plants and other stationary sources of pollution. The Court simultaneously declined to hear an appeal that challenged EPA’s endangerment finding that classifies carbon dioxide (CO2) as a pollutant.

Note that SCOTUS declined to take up the CO2 endangerment appeal...

and that the author (?) stacked his deck throughout with incestuous sources.... like the National Center for Policy Analysis (Koch-funded)....

"So now Justices are formally educated enviornmental scientists?"

Probably not, but they don't need to be; they are ruling on the legality of a regulation, not its substance.

So now Justices are formally educated enviornmental scientists? Really. This will be a classic example of "legislating from the bench."

"EPA has usurped its power. Government is not supposed to rule willy-nilly through administrative agencies, though they've been doing so under the guise of the Clean Air Act the past 30 to 40 years," said Burnett.

--------

The executive branch has seized so much power we're almost back to having a king.

Nothing is going to change and EPA just wants to complain about everything that is about pollution.

This is old news, in that the Court already heard the case earlier in December - earlier than the date of the article. The surprising thing was that many interpreted the justices' questions as supporting current pollution regulations.

Heartland?

Possibly worth reading if you're curious to see the latest half-truth bait switch & spin propaganda.

However, it seems we get enough of that from the trolls that follow me around the forums :0}

World regulations need to be put in effect to make any difference when it comes to CO2 pollutants.

Any way that the EPA can be limited is a good thing.

EPA should be abolished, and its duties given to the states.

Thank goodness for the EPA. This type of push-pull is needed to help keep corporations from running away with themselves.

There is not much in the world that is all good or all bad.

I am more for reducing the EPA's power to regulate without the Congressional approval..especially when it wrecks havoc on industry without looking at second and third order consequences...at least we may have a bit more transparency since the House gets reelected every two years.

Maybe I am a bit naive on this..but just look at the coal mandates which to my knowledge did not get passed by Congress.

Don't expect to see any change from their last ruling calling CO2 toxic. They belive in the global warming hoax. The facts will continue to be ignored while the ice age due to reduced solar activity begins.

Oblamer has attempted to stack the courts in favor of the tree hugging, stimulus sucking, union dominated, ultra liberal agenda of his major contributors. His EPA is useless but will likely be protected by the Supreme Court if Chief Justice Roberts doesn't side with his more conservative associates. Stop this madness in Nov 2014!
