Yesterday, we showed you the ins and outs of the Koenigsegg Agera S "Hypercar." Everything about it is impressive, including its $1.46 million (starting) price tag. (Some models sell in excess of $4 million.)

Here are the highlights from yesterday's article:

It will take you from 0-62 mph in under three seconds.

Its 5.0-liter V-8 engine peaks at 1,030 hp and 811 lb-ft of torque
It has a max lateral acceleration of 1.6 g's.

Its braking package enables it to decelerate from 62 down to zero in just 100 ft.

Its wheels employ hollow spokes and centers made out of carbon fiber. The wheel's only metal part is the check valve.

Fasten your seatbelt -- today we will show you what this car can really do!

Yes, it is a car that nearly all of us will never get to see in person, let alone drive or even think about purchasing. But after watching the half dozen Koenigsegg Agera S "Hypercar" videos on YouTube, what really impressed me was Koenigsegg's obsession about innovation and quality. The thought of building a carbon fiber car entirely by hand is daunting to say the least; but the videos present Christopher Koenigsegg as a visionary who is unwilling to compromise at all in any area of building the "Hypercar". His willingness to share his technology and see it eventually being used in mass produced vehicles is gratifying to a slovenly commoner like myself who has been stuck owning Fords, Chevys and some European brands like Volvo and BMW. Perhaps if I someday win the Powerball or Super Lotto I could afford one, but until then it will remain a fantasy for this auto enthusiast.

Only a millionaire can afford that, plus it would be a waste to drive on a public road.

A few things they did not include

The car is so light it will break into pieces if there is an accident.

Most drivers do not have the skills to control a car that accelerates so quickly.

But I guess we all like to hate those 1%ers that can afford the cars so if they all die then that's OK by us.

Ok, it's interesting, but seriously, where do you ever really need to go 0-62 in under three seconds?

A lot will be sold in Beverly Hills, CA to drive down Rodeo Dr. to get another cup of Starbucks.

$1.46 million (starting) price tag. (Some models sell in excess of $4 million.)--for those prices the vehicle should drive and maintain itself!

At 4 mil plus, I could not afford the insurance.

Pretty fast for a street vehicle though.
