Nearly one-third of drivers involved in fatal car accidents are found to have at least one non-alcohol drug in their system, and those with such drugs in their system are three times more likely to be involved in a fatal crash than those without, according to a new study.

You can find essentially the same news story from dozens of news sources. Don't ask me why RockCity picked that particular source.

They quoted from a study done by Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. The last I heard, Columbia University was in New York City. I doubt that anyone in New York City would be viciously anti-American.

>This is another vilification of American and our lifestyle.

As if the consumption of illegal drugs was an American lifestyle. Guess it is in Washington and Colorado, where they allow the recreational consumption of cannabis.

This is from Al-Jazerra, which broadcast Osama Bin Laden's message of hate for the US. Why is it being posted here?

Because many open minded people don't see them as a news source and not for what they are. They are viciously Anti-American and Anti-Christian.

This is another vilification of American and our lifestyle.

So many people in the US are on some kind of medication that this could actually be true, even though it is meaningless.

Never trust Al Jazerra - the voice of the World Jihad.

The study did not address whether or not the 'non-alcoholic' drug was a being used by prescription or if the driver was impaired by the drug. The latter issue can affect what a reader takes away from the study results.

" Nearly one-third of drivers involved in fatal car accidents are found to have at least one non-alcohol drug in their system,...."

I guess that means the the other 2/3 that are involved in a fatal car accident had an 'alcoholic' drug in their system.

Alcohol is a drug as well, just a more social drug.

The courts and cops need to let these drugees/dopers know they either say "goodbye" to drugs or say "hello" to jail. They may wish to kill their self with their dope of choice but stop them from taking innocent people with them.

Our posters seem to have a problem with Al Jazeera. However, from what I've seen, and according to media pros, they deliver the news with fairness and depth -- I prefer them to CNN and the other cable news channels.
