Gasoline prices have fallen steadily throughout September, and drivers should look forward to even cheaper fill-ups in the weeks ahead.

The national average price for a gallon of gasoline is now $3.42, down from $3.59 on Sept. 1. The price is the lowest it’s been at this time of year since 2010 and is likely to keep falling.

haven't really seen that much of the highly touted "falling." In fact, prices are RISING at some stations. From 3.21 yesterday to 3.35 this morning.

PD (one of GB's gods) has been saying that prices will drop for about 5 months now. Haven't dropped too much. I wouldn't call it "falling" for sure.

Finally a little lower, but still higher than before summer. It's been like this for a few years, so the price stays higher each year.

Experts. Right.
I would be very surprised if gas falls below 3 dollars.
And if it does that busts the speculator theory.
Gas will stay between 3 and 4 dollars. Unless an event involving military action in the middle east forces gas up. The democrats were eager to put gas over 5 dollars but they are hurting in the opinion polls. That is why gas "appears" to be falling.

Gas prices are falling rapidly in NJ. The government should take advantage of this by raising fuel taxes to repair our deteriorating infrastructure.
