It is Pipeline vs Oil Train, and the possible Environmental Disaster/Accident vs increased jobs.

Well, they wanted to block oil pipelines, what did they think was going to replace them?

Basic failure to understand the concept.

They don't want oil. Fine. Let them quit using it. That will help the environment.

Yes they should JamesCalvin, they are clueless as it stands now! I'd invite a few down to my ranch to teach 'em!

You have to move fuel & oil somehow. Sometimes you have to choose your battles & then find the safest route & move it.

Environmentalists do not want Oil Pipelines, Railroad tank cars, or truck tankers....What idiots. Two words: Oil Pipelines. Done!

Tell me an oil transport method that IS the safest. Oil trains and oil trucks are as safe as the people who work them and operate them. Everyone works hard and does their best to be safe, though none have a crystal ball to predict if and when something bad will happen. Overall, the safety record is very good.

DON'T BUILD THE YEYSTONE XL. The only rewason ALBERTA OIL wants the KEYSTONE XL is to get ALBERTA OIL to an EAST COAST DEEP WATER SEAPORT FOR EXPORT. I know HOUSTON isn't a EAST COAST SEAPORT but the oil could be exported from Houston to EUROPE, and that's what they are looking for. ALBERTA OIL will sit back and count countless BILLIONS OF DOLLARS while we have all the possible polution problems. Start doing a better job of track inspections and there will be less accidents.

Build the pipeline(s) or even more trains will be rolling... those are the only 2 feasible options.

Can we agree that ALL petroleum is dangerous but yields great benefits? We just need to learn the best methods for transport in each situation.

Environmentalists should live on a farm for a few years!

Then they would understand better what makes the world go around!

Clunkheads. Trains are a safe way to move oil. The Quebec accident was, I am sure, human error.
