The national average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline has increased one tenth of a cent to $3.542, marking the second consecutive increase, the motorist group AAA said Saturday. However, the national average is still down 57.2 cents, or about 13.9%, on the record high of $4.114 reported on July 17, 2008. The highest prices at the pump are in Hawaii, averaging about $4.34 per gallon, and the lowest in South Carolina, at $3.22, according to the AAA's Daily Fuel Gauge Report. The price of light, sweet crude oil, for September delivery, increased $0.13 to settle at $107.46 per barrel on the NYMEX Friday.

And this is a surprise to anyone? The bottom line is that the Obama Administration has done nothing to control oil speculation/prices/exports, reduce our dependence on foreign oil, or improve our economy. Obama's sole agenda is to cater to his tree hugging, stimulus sucking, union dominated, ultra liberal major contributors. As a result, we continue to be screwed at the pump, with our utilities, & with our taxes. Nothing will change as long as Obama is in office & controls the Senate. 2014 Elections are coming - stop this madness!!

It seems the average gas price has been hovering around the mid $3.00/gallon range for a long time, with spikes and drops. Think its time for the prices to drop big and stay down there.

Grateful the last few days in Madison WI area it's been 3.49/gal - hope it keeps going down (as opposed to up), even if little by little.

Maybe we could build a pipeline from South Carolina to California - well to Nevada. California probably would not let the pipeline in.
