Jessica and Jim Vaglica are giddy with excitement this weekend after their recent purchase of a 21-foot recreational vehicle. where are they going? The new, $20,000 2013 Palamino Puma Unleashed tow-behind RV provides lots of features designed to accommodate the Wyoming, Mich., couple’s extreme-sports hobbies that include motorcycling and power golf carting — messy pursuits that their 43-year-old 24-footer could not quite accommodate. “The whole back end of this RV opens up to a big ramp, so we can just ride everything straight out the back,” said 35-year-old Jessica Vaglica, a college student-accounts manager. I assume the citizens of Michigan are either getting ready to depart the state or don't want to be pinned down by a house.

With Detroit being broke, lots of folks broke ground and went for broke on breaking away.

RVs will keep them moving, moving away from cities that can't keep them.

Let the fun begin and let it begin with the fun stuff.

Probably because they all want to get out before Detroit finishes going down the drain and sucks the rest of the state with it.

A night in a decent RV park runs around $40. A mid-priced hotel room can be had for $70 or less in most places. Not a huge savings and when you couple it with the lousy MPG (not to mention the payments on the RV itself) it becomes a premium luxury item. People who justify it by saying that they are saving money are just blowing smoke.

An odd lead. It's about RV sales being up in Michigan, but the example is a couple from Wyoming? Whatever!

I cringe when I think about the mpg a 24 footer takes to move down the road. Only way to win is to park it, and not go anywhere, which defeats the purpose!
