With the onset of the summer driving season, the average price of a gallon of gas in America went up 10.4 cents in May — the first increase since February. With the average gallon approaching the $4 mark, drivers coast to coast will feel the pinch over the next few months. It's easy to focus on where gas might be cheaper, but the grass isn't always greener on the other side. Here's a look at gas prices around the world and across the United States, from least to most expensive, in early June 2013.

Humm...didn't OPEC drive the price down in the past & what did we do...closed down wells because that oil became to expensive to get out of the ground...OPEC did what it could to kill competition but, no longer is that the case...
'
T.G. you & I have oil with the new tech means we can have oil our oil but, it's not the easy to get oil of the past...it's just plain going to cost us more...don't forget QE1, QE2, QE2, & QE4Ever the dollar is just not the same dollar it was...
.
We will save the spooky speculators for another time...spooky as in Boo Boo bad bad speculators...

I don't care what other countries pay, I care about what I pay, and the fact that it is higher than is should be is my concern.

This is my thought today...When the American people stand up and demand A source of affordable oil you will see oil prices slip.American oil development is expensive if you feel A few thousand US oil jobs are worth $4.oo+gal gas then stop complaining about the price.I belive low gas prices(if they stay low no more than $2.00gal)will promote TRUE job creation-in the millions of jobs.Drop all taxes on gas immediately, lets have A vote to buy out speculators(gasoline is much too necessary for this much fluctuation)Ill pay A thousand dollars today for that.Lets have oil companies guarantee A price for the year say $2.50gal to $2.75gal and if it goes higher prove why-is that to much to ask?We have the buying power of hundreds of millions of people. This is A world market why do we have no say at all?
If you agree Buddy me !

when are all of you people going to stop complaining about gas prices when you don't put pressure on our federal government to do something about besides whining?........this has been going on for years now & it won't go away until all the 50 states get together & confront it head on with the Oil Companies & Federal Government..... its that simple.. we should all work together....

We are fortunate especially since it isn't subsidized. It's mostly here about distribution and competition in addition to oil pricing itself

Back in the early 80's I was in Europe for over a month jumping between Germany, Scotland and Ireland, even back then when our prices here in US were "so-so" they were out of this world pricing

Not really a warm and fuzzy kind of article.

Prices elsewhere are prices under their local political conditions.

Just another article that appears to justify tree huggers and enviro-mental-ists believing our gas prices are still too low (right Mr. Chu?)

Great information... but I'm in California and don't really care what gas prices are in other counties of the state, states, let alone other countries.
