Even if U.S. President Barack Obamaapproves the Keystone XL pipeline, Canadian crude oil probably will remain the cheapest in the world, hampering expansion of the country’s largest export industry.

Canadian oil prices are forecast to fall compared with world benchmarks because production from oil sands, fields of sand coated with heavy oil beneath about 90,000 square kilometers of boreal forest in northernAlberta, is estimated to more than double to 3.8 million barrels a day by 2022. Keystone, the 1,179-mile link from Alberta to Nebraska first proposed in 2008 and delayed in part by environmental activists, would only briefly relieve the glut.

The prospect of prices staying below other types of crude oil risks undermining investment in the Alberta oil sands, the world’s third-largest r

NO APPROVAL for the Keystone XL pipeline. There are NO benefits whatsoever to the US.

WHY?

- CANADIAN oil
- CORROSIVE shale oil sand
- CHINESE steel and piping to be used
- MINIMAL if any new additional US jobs
- From Canada to Texas, across the US, including going over huge AQUIFERS
- US takes all the environmental RISKS without any benefits
- Oil will be EXPORTED to China or South America, NO PRICE RELIEF for the US

So, pray tell, why should we approve the Keystone XL pipeline? No benefits to the US.

DISAPPROVE the Keystone XL pipeline, have Canada take care of their own oil with a pipeline across Canada.

The fact of the matter is that Obama is more concerned with his tree hugging, stimulus sucking, union dominated, ultra liberal major contributors & will never approve Keystone. Meanwhile, we continue to be screwed at the pump, with our utlilites & with our taxes. 2014 Elections are coming!!

If Canada can just get the crude to the coast China will be willing to take it off their hands.

I do not believe the price at the pump in the U.S. will be going down anytime because of this so called glut. The oil companies will continue to dictate the price at the pump.

If the US doesn't want it, we sure could use the oil in Eastern Canada.
And maybe it might also stimulate "Suncor" to revitalise the Voyageur project to upgrade it to 'stock oil' quality which would mean any refinery could use it and it would also simplify the pipeline requirements and throughput.

Once the route is approved you can expect up to five Keystone pipelines.
