Obama supporters troubled by his silence on TransCanada’s proposed pipeline, which would carry oil from Canada to U.S. refineries

The issue has overshadowed almost any other on his second-term agenda for many top donors, environmental allies and young supporters. Traditionally strong Democratic allies, environmentalists were upset by the failure of climate change legislation to advance in Obama’s first term and are concerned their issues are taking a back seat to other party priorities in his second

To assuage the Keystone-opposing donors who have been confronting him at fundraisers this year, Obama has said he plans to unveil a package of separate actions in July focused on curbing U.S. greenhouse gas emissions

The Obama world’s split on Keystone is so deep that it even divides

>>" Oil production has increased every year of the Obama Administration after declining every year, for eight years, under the previous administration."<<

Spoken like a true liberal wearing rose colored glasses.

Production on federally controlled land and water has dropped.

"The Obama regime will never approve Keystone XL."

You are entitled to your OPINION. However, my OPINION is that he will approve the Keystone XL pipeline.

"His Administration has done nothing to control oil speculation, reduce our dependence on foreign oil, or improve our economy."

Spoken like a true conservative. CAFE standards won't reduce our dependence on foreign oil? Oil production has increased every year of the Obama Administration after declining every year, for eight years, under the previous administration.

Obama will never approve the Pipeline as long as he is in office & controls the Senate. His agenda is very clear: cater to his tree hugging, stimulus sucking, union dominated major contributors. His Administration has done nothing to control oil speculation, reduce our dependence on foreign oil, or improve our economy. 2014 Elections are coming!!

The Won(II) is just putting pressure on the Green imbeciles to howl for him on all the other scandals. Once he's squeezed all he can get out them, he'll block Keystone.;

Americans are not split, a solid majority are behind the pipeline.

This is more bait and switch from Obammy.

The pipeline will not improve or diminish climate change. Let's get on with it by pipeline, then if not then by rail and then 18 wheelers.

Foot dragging is the hallmark nowadays of politicians; wait long enough and both pro & con factions will get fed up. Unfortunately there are consequences to this type of inactivity. Politicians ultimately loose the respect of both sides of the issues who move on to something else. They can't please both sides, but they can also demotivate both and be subsequently shunned on any other issues.

Silence from Obama is his hallmark signature.
Silence is what you get when you hide from scandals and/or can't make decisions.
