jeannemarie: it's the specutraitors who drive the prices, not the general hopes and fears. And right now, they got cold feet b/c PigOil is demolishing the global economy.

That is humorous as I have stocks in several oil companies and the dividends keep coming. So I disbelieve all these worrying by the oil companies. Just want to get their digs in on us.

Prices have risen here $0.40/gal in the last few weeks. Given this, with real supply and demand pricing, they should have dropped $0.40/gal instead. Ban CIFs and watch pump prices be halved plus many food and other commodities will see similar declines in retail prices.

It would be nice to see pump prices drop in response to the high inventories.

I hope the speculators are happy now and that the prices should drop like a rock. But wait gas just went up $.40 a gallon due to Greedway.

Anybody understand why we are increasing oil imports when we have so much oil available domestically?

Ditto to mstearno. Economy is sinking, we are getting raked and our clueless leader in DC is too busy with his agenda. God help us!

So instead of controlling output & lowering prices at the pump we now need to keep prices higher for storage fees
