Missouri Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder is among more than 20 Republican lieutenant governors urging approval of the TransCanada Keystone XL Pipeline.

The Republican Lieutenant Governors Association said in a letter to President Barack Obama that more pipeline capacity is needed to tap oil supplies from formations in Canada, Montana and North Dakota.

Obama is AGAINST anything to do with carbon based energy sources. He will never approve the Keystone XL pipeline.

Keystone will help US economy, all work generates money for someone and at least part of it gets spread around

Seems like this should have bipartisan popularity given the work that has been done to protect the environment and the obvious value to the US economy.

Who cares who he is related to as long as the Pipeline gets approved to create more jobs & reduce our dependence on foreign oil. The Obama Administration, however, is more interested in catering to its tree hugging major contributors than to helping us at the pump.

with the name Kinder there may be a vested interest (e.g. Kinder Morgan, pipeline company)

Pipeline in Ark was built in the 40's. Build the pipeline, using 2013 technology to reduce spills.

Rail cars leak, rupture, and tend to run through populated area more.

Didn't he see the adjacent state just south of us suffer a small spill and the potential damage and suffering they will experience?
