In North America, workhorses like the Ford Crown Victoria do the daily policing of our roads and highways. But on occasion, both here and abroad, you'll see the constabulary on a finer, rarer, more powerful steed.

We have few Dodge Challengers SRT and Chargers which are essentially unmarked squads which usually catch a lot of offenders off guard...

Personally, a Hummer with a .50 cal mount and a mini-gun is all you need to get up close and personal. You can save the heavier stuff for use by the tactical and emergency response teams.

Suburbans, Chargers, Camaros are just a few of the cars used for Police here. Surburbans are mainly used as unmarked vehicles, while Chargers and Camaros are used for apprehending. And, of course you have the Harleys.

Honolulu officers used to be able to pick their own cars, leading to some "interesting" units, apparently none of which was fit for this list.

Some good and some not so. I know the Lamborghini gave the gallardo to Italian Police. The car had a little problem on the road. http://www.hoax-slayer.com/italian-lamborghini-police-car-crash.shtml

Not sure why these police departments feel the need for these high dollar cars? That money could be used for other, more important things.
