West Texas Intermediate oil dropped for a second day after slipping the most in three months. U.S. crude stockpiles gained for the sixth week in seven, according to the American Petroleum Institute.

March futures, which expired yesterday, decreased 2.3 percent, the most since Nov. 20, amid speculation a commodity fund was selling positions. U.S. crude inventories climbed 2.96 million barrels last week to 372 million barrels, the highest since December, API data show.

WTI for April delivery slid as much as 66 cents to $94.56 in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange. The March contract slid to $94.46 yesterday, the lowest since Jan. 16.

Brent for April settlement slipped $1.92 to $115.60 a barrel on the London-based ICE Futures Europe exchange yesterday.

Makes no difference what the price of oil is, it's the price of gas that counts and that is skyrocketing.
