That is the dream, produce more oil for cheaper prices. The only thing that will do is allow Big Oil to export more oil, ensuring higher profits for the oil companies, not lower pump prices.

If we were a net exporter of oil the price would still be controlled by the Global Market and price would be priced accordenly unless subsided by the government.
