Yup, even my new 2012 Scion specifically states on the gas cap to not use e-15 or e-85.

"most vehicles sold since 2001, the study released today by the Coordinating Research Council shows it may cause fuel-pump failures" I am not a litigation promoter, but it would be nice to see a law suit against the EPA for repairs.

Gasoline may damage engines, Propane and natural gas is much better.

let's see. "oil" refiners make about $0 on "ethanol" refining. Of course ethanol is bad to them.

Know what type of fuel your vehicle can or cannot use. Don't blame the govt, the oil companies, etc. it's your responsibility. Period

It's a good thing at least some agency is looking into it but this should have been done before the the product was ever marketed.

At least the API & the automakers produced a study by the Coordinating Research Council. What has the ethanol produced: None,Zero,Zilch. All they have done is deny and rant.
There has been enough concern about E15 causing problem with engines that the EPA should conduct an independent study. Toyota even has warning about using E15 on the gas caps.
Give people a choice.

Yep. Get rid of all the ethanol blended fuels except E-85 and people know if they want to run E-85 they need a flex fuel capable engine to do so.

Sad we can't get the "politicians" to BAN ethanol .
From the article: "While the EPA cleared the blend for most vehicles sold since 2001, the study released today by the Coordinating Research Council shows it may cause fuel-pump failures, component swelling and problems that could trigger on-board diagnostic system breakdowns."

This is my favorite line of the article: "...the study released today by the Coordinating Research Council shows it may cause fuel-pump failures, component swelling and problems that could trigger on-board diagnostic system breakdowns"
REALLY......I don't want ethanol in my fuel tank......what does the EPA have over the government's head that they just keep marching forward with E15 that no one wants!
