When you have to stop and physically pay a toll, you see the money leaving, when it is automatic, you don't notice and use the toll system even more. As the article states, you also have to have a way to deal with out of state drivers. I know if I ever drove up there I would end up on a toll road without even knowing it since they are everywhere.

So if I don't have EZ-Pass and drive to Delaware one time a month I get a bill in the mail for one crossing of the bridge? The only thing the article doesn't say is that if you don't have a transponder, then there is a "camera" fee of about $4 extra each time you enter the highway or a toll bridge...
