Imagine a future meeting of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, where the agenda is set not by Iran or Saudi Arabia, but by the United States. Oh, and the meeting takes place in Tel Aviv — because the other big power in OPEC is Israel.

That’s where the world is headed, thanks to the miraculous new technology known as fracking.

LOL, while on evening troll again Cakes claims there is no opposition to hydraulic fracturing by the Eco-Imperialist left wing greenies.

Some refuse to see the truth! But they really should. Because.....

The truth shall set you free!

With all the new oil being discovered, who needs the middle east? We have a Saudi sized strike in Israel and Australia. We have massive new discoveries all over Texas, the Gulf, and the Gulf States of LA and MS. We have a massive discovery in Brazil. And on and on. Every time you open the paper there is new oil being discovered. Scotland, Egypt,Turkey, VietNam....

To answer my own question of who needs the middle east? The answer is no one. Let them eat camel dung.

LMAO! It would seem that Pop is on the rag again. What is an "Eco-Imperialist green folks?" Me thinks he has been watching too much Faux News with the lowest ratings since 9/11! It is obvious he can't speak without name calling or repeating himself endlessly about the truth will set you free. Who cares?

Spect' he will learn what the truth really is...ever?

:::::Not really, the cost of drilling is way cheaper in Saudi, they can withstand $10 oil, our cost here is over $50.::::

No, they can't withstand $10 oil. The corrupt and self serving monarchies in the middle east need oil prices at $95 or more to keep the populace from
storming the palace and slitting their throats.

You can rest assured that the middle east despots are soiling their pants while watching whats happening in US oil fields.

"And the moon is made of cheese!" TOOO true.Worth repeating from OrphancarguyPE..."Its all magical thinking about fracking. There is lots of oil and natural gas to be had its true, but the slowly dawning reality is that it will be very very expensive.

Unlike a conventional field (Ghawar in Saudia Arabia--the largest field ever, 6.25% of all oil produced daily) you don't drill vertically and start extracting for 63 years nonstop. Or over 70 years. You drill vertically AND multiple horizontally, and within 18 months it has dropped off so much you need to drill another well just to keep production steady. At up to $10 million per well. Some discouraging words to counteract all the endless and unfounded hype."

No, this won't bring peace in the middle east. The Palestinians want destruction of Israel and all of its land. Just look at their emblems or read their leader's statements. It's not about money, it is about making the land 100% Muslim. Just like Mecca - No Jews or Christians permitted.

Don't worry. The foreign policy establishment and the Green zanies will find ways to protect the Saudis.
