Lots on Michiganians relied on those jobs and benefits. When they went away so did the people to other states. Decrease the jobs and population and you decrease the tax base.

NOTHING ELSE. Let "mass transit" pay its own way. Let shipping pay it's own way. Let the railroads pay THEIR OWN WAY. I understand that mass transit costs will go up, and I understand that rail and shipping costs will also go up, if they have to pay their own way. But I will be paying for what I USE - not for something I don't use. Here is a idea - raise the gas tax 10 cents a gallon. Mail ME a check every day - so I can quit working and having to pay my own way! Using Snyders thought process, it sure seems fair to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure if the above is the right way to finance mass transit, though. We are praying for the family and friends of those hurt on the Texas campus.

He has eliminated the city income tax credit; the college tuituion and fees credit; homestead property tax deduction has been reduced and a tax on pensions has been created. He gave a $1.8 billion tax cut to business paid for by the citizens.
