A former high volume ARCO station, closed down for more than a year because of a legal battle between the station owner & ARCO, is back in business selling gas for $2.99 a gallon.
Hatem Shalabi, the station owner said a court victory in California against ARCO's parent company, BP, has opened the door to a new supply of fuel for his huge station at Portland and Puyallup avenues.

The best news: ARCO is still in business! Haven't heard anything from that company in yrs. We need more, not fewer, gasoline retailers to maintain some kind of competition. Too much consolidation with Exxon & Mobil and the others.

Corporations have brainwashed the country to accept their "free market" agenda. Corporations are also behind lowering the US wage rate to third world levels. They do this by promoting "right to work for less" legislation state by state.

Great for Mr. Shalabi. Not too many people has the stomach nor the resources to fight the big corporations. BP is as dirty as they come trying to influence the bank to foreclose Mr. Shalabi.

if gas stations were allowed to buy fuel from anyone, we would have lower prices. Instead, big oil's co-opetition manipulates the price and makes billions.
