Salazar's departure comes as President Barack Obama's cabinet undergoes the typical make-over for the second term, and will be part of an opportunity to remake the entire energy team.

I know it isn't easy but first good thing that needs to happen is outlawing "Ethanol " as it is a Lose, lose situation. Costs consumers in the long run on repairs that regular gas wouldn't and would get better mileage than currently getting.

A difficult task to be sure. The balance between energy independence and protecting our air and water is a job I would not care for. I'd like to see a blend of knowledgable oil people and environmental scientists. Sure it would make for a noisy room, but beats the heck out of appointing a career politician trying to please the masses. We all need to pay close attention to the Department of Interior.
