ANCHORAGE, Alaska — The united command overseeing the salvage of Royal Dutch Shell PLC drill barge that ran aground on a remote Alaska island will release minimal information on the vessel until an assessment is completed, a spokeswoman said.

Shell's drill vessel Kulluk ran aground New Year's Eve on the southeast side of Sitkalidak Island near Kodiak Island. On Jan. 6, it was pulled off the rocky bottom and towed a day later to protected waters in Kiliuda Bay within Kodiak Island.

Greed at work, greed that went wrong and now will involve a cover-up no doubt.

Good work by the men involved. Situation got out of control, but they still manage to control damage and rescue the vessel. How many lines broke? Accidents will happen and in this case, the backups broke also. Damage looks to be minimal, I say that is a good result for what happened..

Get on with the repairs and get the vessel back to work.. And in the future, maybe the Coast Guard should have a tow vessel on standby for emergencies. Is that what the Coast if there for? Where was the Coast Guard when they were needed? How far away was their tow vessel? I hope they put that in the report..

Collect the facts then divulge the information. Don't turn a towing accident into a Notre Dame football news media frenzy.

Not real news, it is an appropriate action until the facts are known.
