WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama's second-term energy agenda is taking shape and, despite the departure of key Cabinet officials, it looks a lot like the first: more reliance on renewable energy sources, such as wind and solar, and expanded production of oil and natural gas. Obama also is promising to address climate change, an issue he has acknowledged was sometimes overlooked during his first term.

"The president has been clear that tackling climate change and enhancing energy security will be among his top priorities in his second term," said Clark Stevens, a White House spokesman.

While the administration has made progress in developing renewable energy and improving fuel-efficiency standards for vehicles, "we know there is more work to do," Stevens said.

The Obama Agenda is less fossil fuels.

Which means higher gas prices.
We even have Obama on tape saying that he wants higher Gas prices.

And the short term thinkers voted him back into office, to get their free phones and food stamps.

Economics is not a zero sum game.
Obama, Pelosi, and Krugman believe that their is only one Pizza, and it has to be distributed fairly.
It never occurs to them to build more Pizza parlors and create more Pizza.

I wonder what climate will be selected once climate change has been eliminated? Personlly I hope it's a warm temperature like maybe 75 degrees.

Yes, such a dilemma we have. Too much ng that we have to export it to those that can use it.
While we sit here awaiting someone's decision to build an infrastructure.
Oh, and in that waiting time, we watch the price of fuel go higher because of indecision.

All this is Obama's bullheaded rush to push his radical agenda at any cost to the nation. Look for more waist of your tax dollars on green project that will enrich more D.C. insiders, all democrats. The corruption of this administration will rival Warren G. Hardy !!

"Obama also faces a choice over whether to promote a boom in oil and natural gas production that has hampered growth of nontraditional energy sources such as wind and solar."

He would do better making jobs and government spending reductions a priority.

More higher costs for energy thanks to President Obama and the highest number of regulation from the Environmental Protection Agency! We need coal, Keystone Pipeline and much more to drive prices down, improve the economy and return jobs - which President Obama is against!

Lend my tax dollars on improving the economy, not just energy.
