The good news is stations are not required to sell E15 and they will still have E10 available. Stations accually would have to add a new tank in the ground that can handle the extra 5% ethanol if they chose to sell E15 and for old stations the contruction won't be cost effective, but a station being built will possibly add the tank fo E15.

"AAA estimates that only 12 million of the nation's 240 million light-duty vehicles are equipped to handle E15, and that the danger of damage is especially higher in cars built in 2001 or earlier."
Are you KIDDING me......5%, yes a measly 5% are equipped to handle E15. They need to be halted and more studies collected before cars end up being damaged and not covered by warranty!

Have you contacted your elected officials objecting to E-15? If not, don't be complaining about the elected officials not listening to their constituents. GasBuddy whining, IMHO, does not qualify as the First Amendment right of petition for redress of grievances.

Just because the Government offers a tax credit for installing E-15 pumps and storage tanks, it does not mean that anyone has to take advantage of it. And, at least for the foreseeable future, E-15 will not replace E-10.

Is this something that can avoided at the pump? doesn't sound like it. More studies, obviously but implemention is a no-no at this point if the consumers are going to take a major hit.

Those clever democrats hiding an ethanol lobby demand in the fiscal cliff deal, so much for Obama's transparency. Just follow the money and you find a rotten politician at the end !!

With the cost of corn right now being so high. Retailers are paying a premium for the gas they are using that is actually less the the E10. They have been talking with Washington to drop the taxes they have been paying. Bogus

danny999 from Florida...
May I remind you that the President's name is OBAMA without the bizarre embellishment. You needn't agree with him, in fact that you don't, could make this thread more interesting.
However, as a citizen, you owe the office respect. Just the basic stuff you learned at home and teach your children now. Schoolyard puns belong in the schoolyard.

Ethanol is the way the government will kill the market support system for farmers. Gov increasing the use of Ethanol, and decreasing the support for farmers. When will the day come that most farmers main crop will be corn for Ethanol, and no support system for all crops? Does this mean that all other crops prices will go up as less supply is available, without a support system?
