Honda Motor Europe says poor sales across Europe due to the region's economic crisis are behind the loss of 800 positions among its 3,500 member workforce in Swindon. The plant makes the Civic, Jazz and CR-V models.

The Euro zone crisis is far from over; at least this is what the majority of Europeans believe. It is only good sound business decision to cut back production in European plants. Hence the European auto workers lose their jobs.

An acquaintance has already been cut from full-time to part-time by Honda. I don't (and he doesn't) fault Honda. We fault a federal government that seems hell-bent on killing the American free-enterprise system.
