LANSING, MI — Michigan’s gas price averaged $3.69 per gallon last year, setting a new annual record for the state.

The 2012 average came in 10 cents higher than 2011 and 89 cents more than 2010, according to Dearborn-based auto club AAA Michigan.

Last year was a “pretty ugly year at the gas pump,” marred with volatility due to refinery and other issues, said Patrick DeHaan, senior petroleum analyst for GasBuddy

Sounds like the oil companies are gouging. Increase the ethanol blend to dampen the price volitility.

Those millions in Obama donations by the oil speculators are paying off, thanks to his supporters, they now have 4 more years of no government intervention to gouging the consumer. No hope, & no change !!

Maybe if we built another refinery or 6 we could handle ebbs and flows of natural disasters, broken pipelines and OPEC. More refineries= more sources= more options= more competition= lower prices= recovering economy.

Here comes the $4 a gallon gas scare tactic again. Sometimes I wonder whats worse, Speculators or scare predictors.
