America has chosen car culture, for better or worse. But now comes word that the Netherlands is building way awesomer highways, while ours are stuck in the 20th Century. The Netherlands! It's one thing for the rest of the world to have way cooler trains than us. America has chosen car culture, for better or worse. But now comes word that the Netherlands is building way awesomer highways, while ours are stuck in the 20th Century. The Netherlands! If this isn't a wake-up call for the United States to invest more in infrastructure, I don't know what is.

Nice try but it won't fly. If it actually happened that means the government would have to raise all our taxes to pay for projects that are being paid for now with the gas tax money. Might have to wait for this until after cities, states and the federal government get their budgetary houses in order.

The additive to the paint would hopefully be cheap enough to use everywhere. As said though, are barely keeping our roads passable in some places, so this is asking a lot.
