A typical 550-person unit generates about 2,500 pounds of trash a day. This is especially true with fielded battalions operating in a combat theater. Few may realize that one Abrams Tank, the best in the world, requires the support from five fuel supply trucks to be fully operational! Troops driving and escourting fuel supply convoys in Iraq had the most dangerous duty. Our soldiers at the front require more and more electricity from field generators to run the steadily increasing amount of high tech gear for communications, detection, and support. New doctrine is that the less fuel that needs to be transported, the better. Fighting smarter!

It will also enhance our troops' reputation when they don't leave so much trash behind. Great outside-the-box innovation!
