WILLISTON, N.D. – The Bakken oil boom is now five times larger than the area’s 1980s oil boom, according to a new report by the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.

Economists released this week an updated analysis of the Bakken oil field in North Dakota and Montana, highlighting oil production, demographic, economic and financial data.

“At the Federal Reserve, we’re interested in making sure that we stay aware of the trends in the Bakken area because it’s a unique location where economic activity is growing at a fast pace,” said Rob Grunewald, an economist and editor of the report.

You Think?! Especially considering that the Obama Administration has crippled Oil production in the Gulf of Mexico and on Federal Land! They had to go someplace to get the Oil and that is a move to private land!

Increased supply and weak demand are supposed to result in lower prices ... but they don't.

People won't like it one day, such as when they or their family members start to get sick from it, literally speaking.

With government cooperation just think how far this could go. Obama could even claim some honest credit.

And many of these wells a couple years ago were put on hold until the price came up to where they wanted it.

Sooooo, where is the "peak oil" scenario now, and how long will the shale gas and oil really be profitable??

Well what is the relative inflation since the boom during the 80's... let's get some equivalency here!

I take that to mean the federal government is going to screw with the economy where the oil boom is going on. More obummer dirty work.
